We track your inventory, as we do ours, and can provide an accounting of the recipients or gift baskets prepared using your items. One of our clients, a Vancouver-based group of restaurants, asked us to prepare a special thank you gift basket for Food Network Canada’s Chef Michael Smith, when he addressed their group. It’s a challenge to build a food basket for a chef, but we rose to the occasion! Because we've personally tasted all our products, we were able to choose for him a range of unique, great tasting specialty foods we thought he’d enjoy. Because he was visiting from out of town, we also provided a shipping container so his gift could be easily packaged for his trip home. It was a thoughtful touch that we heard he appreciated almost as much as the delicious food. A big welcome for all ages... The event planner for a large US-based medical equipment company needed some very special welcome gifts for a sales incentive trip at Whistler, BC. She called to ask if we could fill the special containers she would provide. Certainly! we told her. We found out what the containers looked like, and we discussed the types of specialty food she wanted included. The twist was that there were several children accompanying their parents on the trip. We proposed some very fun food baskets that would appeal to both "kids and grownups". One basket was further customized (and carefully segregated) for a family with a major nut allergy. We custom-finished the gifts with a ribbon that matched their corporate colour, and then we coordinated a timely delivery. We heard back that the baskets were a big hit and helped set a positive tone for the entire trip. A stylish, signature gift... A local high-profile realtor thanks her clients with a specialty food gift when their sales complete. Because buying or selling a home is a monumental event for her clients, she wanted to both congratulate them and convey her appreciation for their business. She also wanted a signature gift that reflects her style. And so, based on her budget as well as her taste in containers and foods, we prepared some samples for her to see in person. She loved them, and selected a range of a couple baskets to keep on file, so she could send the perfect one to each client. She even keeps a digital photo of the gift baskets so she can remember exactly what they'll look like when they’re delivered. To include her personal branding message, we add to the baskets her personalized corkscrew and business card, along with her favorite bottle of wine. She is a very busy Realtor. Because we’ve planned in advance on the gift baskets she wants to send her clients, all it takes is a quick telephone call or e-mail for her to order a gift basket. We look after everything from there, for her. A Gift with a Personal Connection... Recently, a new client in the forest products industry chose Mad About Food for his annual gifts to business colleagues. He visited our warehouse with his daughter, who is also one of our gourmet food suppliers, and they personally selected items for the gift baskets. They chose a range of products that complemented her products and our cedar garden hod container. We prepared the baskets (they looked spectacular!) and shipped them to his colleagues across Canada and the US. He was very pleased with how the baskets turned out, but even more surprised by the reaction. He received a thank you phone call from each and every one of the gift basket recipients.
